The camillia bushes in our yard are all in full bloom right now and they are gorgeous. It seems like there are more flowers this year than ever before ~ there are literally hundreds of flowers in all different colors and shades...reds, pinks, white, variegated.
It's hard to decorate with camillias because they aren't really vase flowers, but I was determined to bring some inside to enjoy. I started going through my cupboards to find things I could use to display them ~ here are a few pictures.
I took the photos outside because I really liked the contrast against the green grass.
Here are a few photos in a couple of different martini glasses.
One of the flowers I managed to cut with a small stem and put that in a champagne glass. Here's a couple of photos of the displays all together.
If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them ~ I think I'm going to spend a little more time over the next few days trying to find more ways to decorate with them.
You have some beautiful Camellias! I have dipped them in paraffin before to preserve the bloom. It keeps them looking fresh for 1-2 weeks. The paraffin has to be at a low temperature and it is a messy process, but totally worth it.

I love camellias, yours are gorgeous! They're the only thing that seem to flower in my garden, I have a few bushes, one of these bushes has so many varieties of colour on it :)
I often "float" camellias in footed dishes or bowls. I love how you have used the glasses!
