Easter Basket Swap Part II

In my previous post, I showed pictures of all of the incredible things I received from April in the Bella Enchanted Easter Basket Swap...(links below)

These are a few of the things I sent her.

April's favorite scent is rose, so I sent rose scented bath products, a candle and incense from Paris to the Moon (if you are one of the lucky ones who have been to this amazing store, you have probably seen these).  This is a picture of one I picked up for myself - the one I sent April was, of course, rose scented.

I made her a mini shabby Joy banner, using chipboard banner pieces from Jenni Bowlin's line of products.

And I made a little Easter Keepsake Box...

I had a lot of fun with this swap.  Thanks again April, I hope you enjoy your things.

Easter Basket Swap

I participated in Bella Enchanted's Easter Basket Swap.  Thank you Genevieve for hosting such a fun swap. 

My partner was April Ortiz.  I wanted to post a few pictures of the wonderful things April sent.  She sent everything in this beautiful lavender glittered basket.

She included another basket, this adorable smaller metal one.  Every egg in the basket was stuffed with some incredible little treasure...trim, lace etc.

It's hard to see everything in the basket, but one thing is this beautiful decorated egg.

And that's not all.  I also received the cutest stuffed bunny I've ever seen.  And notice that beautiful stained glass pendant in his lap...April made that!!!

Thank you so very much April.  You know how much I love everything.

The Purple Door

I love this purple door.  Every time I take my little guy for a walk, I make sure to walk past this purple door.  I love it!  I've never walked past a house and thought to myself, "I'd like to meet the person who lives in that house", but I would like to meet the person who lives in that house.  I'm intrigued by someone who paints their door bright purple, in a very non-purple door neighborhood.

Flea Market Shopping

I think I just might be the worst flea market shopper ever.  For one thing, I can't seem to negotiate.  I can't haggle.  I hate it.  I know they are expecting me to, and I know they probably throw out a price assuming I am going to try to negotiate, but...nope!  I really tried this past Sunday, I was going to, but...nope!

Not only that, but I have no poker face, and I don't think before I speak.  This is what I did last Sunday:  I was shopping mainly for jewelry for some projects I'm working on.  I was at this one booth and there was a table with jewelry piled on it.  So I went through it all pulling out all of the things I liked.  When I finished, I went up to the counter to the guy and set my stuff down and asked him if he could tell me the prices of the different pieces.  He started going through them all and finally said "ten dollars", and being the savvy shopper that I am, I said "which one?", he kind of looked at me funny and then said "for all of them".  Next time I go, I should consider bringing along a negotiator.

But look at what I picked up for ten dollars...(you can understand how I would say that, right?)    

The necklace on the left is in perfect condition, so is the bracelet on the right.  There are two pair of earrings, four single earrings and four pins.  I'm happy!
