You Make My Day Award

I received the sweetest award ever from Tammy Fischer.  She sent me the "You Make My Day Award".  This is such an honor coming from Tammy who has one of the greatest blogs I've ever seen.  Her photography is amazing, her hand-made jewelry is pure art, but more than that, she is so incredibly witty, warm and kind.

I am supposed to pass this award on to five people who's blogs "make my day".  How hard is that?  But I will name a few who frequently make my day.  They are Edgar and Edgar, Something White, Prairie Home and someone who is new to blogging, but has started out beautifully...Mademoiselle Rose.  I am probably not supposed to do this, but my last (and certainly not least) goes back to Tammy, I couldn't have it any other way.

Love Your Pet Day

In honor of today being "Love Your Pet Day", (yeah really, Squidoo said so), I couldn't pass up the opportunity to post a few pictures of my little lover!  After which, we are off for a very long W. A . L . K.!

Well, we are back from our walk.  Not quite as long as I thought it would be.  It was freezing (wimpy So.Cal. girl here).  But we had fun!  It was getting too dark to take many pictures, but I took one for my little guy, and one for myself!

P.S.  I couldn't help but think about this woman today and all she does.  If you haven't been to Bernie Berlin's blog and/or website - A Place To Bark - I think you will love it, and her!

CHA

This was a really fun CHA show...there are so many incredible products coming out, I can hardly wait.  I took a few pictures that I thought I would share.

I just LOVED B Line stamps and their booth was amazing!  Here are a few photos...

Tim Holtz had his own booth, and it was soooo Tim.  The samples he had out were gorgeous...and all of his new embellishments are going to be so fun to use.  A lot of my pictures from his booth came out funky, but I have a few...

I also love Heidi Swapp's new papers...and I thought this was such a great way to display them...

This last photo was a display in K&Co.'s booth...doesn't it give you ideas?

I don't have photos but, Heather Bailey's new paper line is unbelievably beautiful and Jenni Bowlin's booth was incredible too, I wanted every little thing in it.

Also, you probably know and love Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist as much as I do, but I went crazy over the new chipboard they have...if you haven't seen it yet, you should check it out!

And Melissa Frances of course.  ALWAYS a favorite, and she didn't disappoint!

I could go on and on, but I won't...these are just my highlights!

Happy Valentine's Day

Wishing all of you a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Today is the day we reveal our Secret Valentine in Jenn and Cheryl's Secret Admirer Swap.  This was such a fun swap to be in!  Our Valentine was kept secret until today and then today we are to post pictures of what we sent to her, so she can finally find out who her Secret Admirer is.  We were to include 3 Valentine themes in this swap - cherub, chocolate and hearts. 

My Secret Valentine is Dolly Secord!   

Below are a couple of things I sent her.  One is a giant candy bar that I decorated, and the other is a heart wall hanging.  I forgot to take a picture of the other things I sent, but I sent her a cherub wax seal with some wax, a stamp that says "adore", some heart shaped rhinestones, ribbon etc...I hope she likes it all.  Happy Valentine's Day Dolly!

I was also in another swap. Maria's Sweetheart Box Swap.  We were to decorate a heart shaped box and fill it with all kinds of fun stuff.  This is a picture of the box I sent to Julia.

Swaps

I received my Valentine package from Maria's Sweetheart Box Swap.  The package came from my swap partner Julia.  I wanted to post a picture to show you the box Julia made.  I can't believe how incredibly sweet this box is!  Have you ever seen a cuter image of kittens?  The box came STUFFED with all kinds of amazing things.  Julia, I want to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate the box and everything you included...I love it all!  It's been great having you for a partner!

I wish I had time to take photos of all of the things included in the box - maybe I will when I get back. 

I'm off to CHA at 7am tomorrow and I haven't even started packing. Ugh!  But I will be back just in time for Jenn and Cheryl's Valentine Party!

Etsy

Some of you may have noticed my post from yesterday was deleted.  I am still a bit typepad challenged.  I went in to make one small change and I completely messed up the post - so much so, that I had to delete it.

And to confess something I have recently learned about myself - I really don't like to repeat things.  If I make something once, I really don't like making it over and over.  I guess that goes for posts too - just didn't feel like re-doing the same post.  Maybe later.

In between all of my valentine swap stuff, I have been trying to make a few things for etsy.  I have made a few decorative bottles (deleted post) and am trying to finish up this pique assiette mirror I have been working on.  Hopefully soon I will have a few things ready and will finally start listing stuff.
