Tea Party Giveaways

Using the random number generator, the winners have been picked for the giveaway I had at the Mad Tea Party on Saturday.  These are the three items they have to choose from.  The first person I picked gets first choice, the second person, second choice and the third person receives the remaining giveaway.  As soon as everyone decides, I will list the winners!

The first is this canvas collage:

I was playing around in Photoshop, just to give you an idea of how it would look with a quote added.  If you like it, I can send along some cut out letters that are similar.

The next giveaway is this journal...the inner pages are lined, and it has a satin ribbon bookmark:

The last item is this paper mache question mark that I've shabbied and distressed.  I have always loved this quote.  I haven't attached the words yet in case the winner prefers it without.

 

A Mad Tea Party

Today is Vanessa's much anticipated Tea Party! 

First, I'd like to show you my hostess gift for the magical Vanessa, I hope she likes roses!

My first stop is for some tea, I'm having my favorite tea today, Rose of Suzhou.  It is THE perfect tea for a party.  They start out as these beautiful rose buds:

Once you drop them in your hot water, they turn into these beautiful flowers that make the most amazing cup of tea!

Vanessa has the most incredible selection of desserts for us.  I've my plate and I'm ready for something sweet to eat.

It's time to mingle, but before I go, I have a few party favor giveaways.

The first is a 12x12 canvas collage.  I think it would be perfect with a photo added of an actual tea party or you can add your own collage pieces to it, add a quote, etc., or it can be left just as it is...

The second giveaway is a journal (approx. 5x7) that I've distressed and altered a bit just for fun.  The pages inside are lined so it may be used as a notebook, writing journal, or alter it and turn it into an art journal...

I have a third giveaway, but I'm going to keep that one a surprise.  I will draw names from comments left on this post.  I'll pick the names on Tuesday July 1st.

Edited:  I can't believe what an amazing time I've had visiting all of you today.  It's hard to believe I am only half way through the party guests.  So...it seems our Mad Tea Party is turning into a Mad Tea Slumber Party.  Goodnight all, and I will see the rest of you tomorrow!

This is a peek at an art print I recently purchased from the incredibly talented Teresa of French Poppy.  Some of you know her of course, but if you haven't seen her wonderful work yet, you must check it out!  I don't know what it is about her style, but I know I love it!

Shades of White

I've just remembered today is the last day to post our Shades of White {and cream) pictures.

I have quite a bit of white around my home, but it's getting late and I know I won't get very good photos, so I thought I'd just show you my favorite bottle...

And I've just noticed that my three favorite bath products are all in shades of white and cream.

Funny Pictures

I have a couple of funny pictures to share with you. But first, I have to say that I know there are a lot of men out there with incredible taste, décor genius and amazing fashion sense.

That being said, some men…not so much.

I recently went with My Guy to one of the studios where he works. While he was working on things, I had the opportunity to just check out the place.

I realized after a while that the entire place had only one piece of décor that I could see. I know that the majority of the people who work there are male (please see disclaimer above), so perhaps I shouldn’t have been too surprised to see that the pictures below show their one attempt at decorating their studio.

Can you imagine thinking to yourself…wow, we’ve just blown up this mannequin and it’s burned to a crisp, it’s even dismembered…this will look great all dressed up and on display!

Shades of Green

It's turning out green isn't nearly as easy for me as red, but I thought the subtle green in this statue was pretty.

The Last Red on Sunset

Today is the last day of Sara's "I Saw Red".  I had a great time playing along. 

There were SO many people who joined.  I tried to get to as many blogs as I could, take my time and leave comments on all of the beautiful photos with red.   

This event of Sara's was so popular, it's been decided that we are going to continue each week with a new color.  The event is called "Shades of Inspiration". 

You can jump in any time and participate.  There are no rules, you can play when you're inspired and skip a week if the color doesn't suit you.  This next week the color is green.
